General Assembly
The General Assembly of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Members is the highest organizational form of the Academic Division. The General Assembly convenes once every two years.
The functions of the General Assembly include:
  1. Study and implement major national strategies and policies on science and technology development;
  2. Deliberate on the work reports of the standing leadership organs;
  3. Elect members of the Presidium;
  4. Formulate and amend the Statute;
  5. Determine the organization and adjustment of the individual academic divisions;
  6. Organize academic activities;
  7. Review and make decisions on other major issues.
