Research Fields: wide-bandgap semiconductor materials and novel crystalline materials. Born in May 1964 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Graduated from the Second Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shandong University of Technology in 1984. Received his master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1988 and his doctoral degree from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991.
