Research Fields: nuclear astrophysics and unstable nuclear beam physics. Born in October 1962 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Graduated from the Department of Technical Physics, Peking University in 1983. Earned his master’s degree from the China Institute of Atomic Energy in 1986, and his doctoral degree from the China Institute of Atomic Energy and the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, Germany in 1998.
