Research Fields: plant genetics. Born in July 1969 in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. Graduated from the Department of Biology, Wuhan University in 1991. Earned his master’s degree from the Wuhan Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1994 and his doctoral degree from Zhejiang University and the John Innes Centre, UK in 2001.
