2024 Science and Technology International Ethics Symposium Held in Shanghai

On October 14, 2024, the Science and Technology International Ethics Symposium was held in Shanghai. The Symposium was hosted by the Science Ethics Construction Committee, Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASAD), and organized by the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch.

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday underscored the importance of sci-tech modernization and innovation in pursuing Chinese modernization and high-quality development. Xi presented China's top sci-tech award and made the remarks at a meeting conflating the national sci-tech conference, the national science and technology award conference, and the general assemblies of the members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).

Chinese Academy of Sciences to Host Public Science Day

The Chinese Academy of Sciences will open its doors to science enthusiasts this weekend, engaging the public with latest sci-tech achievements and free access to its cutting-edge research facilities. China's top institution in terms of natural sciences, the academy will host its 20th Public Science Day on May 18 and 19. More than 100 research institutes nationwide under the academy will open key laboratories, organize lectures and demonstrate experiments to science-savvy audiences.
